What to expect from your surf lesson step by step
Every surf lesson follows a clear and simple structure designed to help you learn safely, understand what you’re doing and improve with confidence. Here’s how your session typically works from start to finish.

we get to the spot
The day before of the surf lessons, we will provide you a meeting point to the surf spot. If you don’t have vehicle, then we will pick you up & drop you off in a meeting point close to your accommodation.

little warm up
In the surf spot, we will try and give you all the gear you need for the surf lesson as board, leash, wetsuit and shoes. When dressed, we will be ready to go on the sand where we will store our personal belongings and start with the surf learning 🙂

objectives of the lesson
We’ll move to the boards on the sand for a quick theory and safety talk. You’ll get essential tips on technique and decisions making, to reach the why behind the practice. This is key to building a solid base and making your surfing progress conscious and confident 😉

time to surf and fun
Once in the water, we will guide you to recognize mistakes and a for immediate correction. This makes your success on the wave is conscious and builds a proper technique. Not just shakas and feelings. You won’t just ride a wave; you’ll understand how you did it.

back on land
After the session, we’ll return the gear to the van and change. Then, we take a few minutes for a crucial final debriefing to reflect on your progress and consolidate your new skills before dropping you off at the meeting point.

do I need previous experience to take surf lessons?
No experience is needed. Our surf lessons are designed for complete beginners as well as surfers who want to improve their skills. Your instructor adapts the lesson to your level so you can learn safely and progress step by step.
how long does it take to learn surfing?
Most beginners are able to stand up on the board during their first lesson. Real progress depends on practice, but with consistent sessions and proper guidance, you can build solid surfing skills in just a few days.
are surf lessons safe for beginners?
Yes, safety is always our priority. We choose the most suitable surf spot based on conditions and your level, use appropriate equipment and provide constant guidance in the water. Our structured teaching approach helps you learn safely and confidently.
what should I bring to a surf lesson?

how many surf lessons do I need?
It depends on your goals. Many beginners take several lessons to build confidence and consistency. Some people take a few sessions during their stay, while others choose multi-lesson packs to progress faster.
where do the surf lessons take place?
We run surf lessons in the north of Fuerteventura, mainly around Corralejo, Lajares, Villaverde and La Oliva. Each day we select the best location depending on ocean conditions and your level.
what happens if the ocean conditions are not good?
We always check conditions carefully and choose the best possible spot for learning. If conditions are not suitable or safe, we reschedule the lesson or offer an alternative solution.
can friends or family with different levels join the same lesson?
Yes. As long as the level difference isn’t too large, friends, couples and families can usually join the same lesson. Our instructors adapt their coaching to each surfer, helping everyone progress at their own pace.
what language are the surf lessons taught in?
Our lessons are available in English and Spanish. Depending on the group, we may also be able to teach in other languages.
